Two articles that actually made me quite happy to read. Usually my alerts are kind of full of some junk with only a gem or two, so it’s nice to find two actual "gems".
Link Popularity: Improve your Search Engine Rankings
Talita writes some good stuff, honest stuff, about what Link Popularity actually means. It’s a simple enough explanation, and therefore an article that is more for the education of the beginner rather than something revolutionary to the industry. But hey, all of the articles that I keep and catalogue like this make it that much easier next time to explain it to a client.
Sadly too, the link to their Link Popularity Checker is broken. That’s alright though, I’m building my OWN. Watch this space.
Blogs are an opportunity to share
NICE article. This is the kind of thing that everybody that’s ever wrinkled their nose and said "Blog? Why do WE need a blog? We’re rent shoebuckles!"
Doesn’t matter. A blog isn’t about sitting in your mum’s basement and reviewing the latest XBOX game, it’s about the power of the internet and spreading your opinion through it. Your words, your thoughts, your space… all of it out there and available to all.
I’m all for it. Heck, it got me a wife and some kids. Even if I did have to move 10,017 miles.
