					<description>Most of these are examples of the "oversupply of web content" - the result of  website owners producing or copying content for the sole purpose of make their sites findable in search engines. 

The irony of course is that "content consumers" (people looking for useful web content) would have a better experience if "content producers" produced less of it. The   more content that exists, the harder it is to find the useful stuff you want.

The web would be a better place if website owners had an incentive to produce less content, not more. Instead we have this treadmill of competitive publishing.</description>
